Got Jesus?

I want to share our faith with anyone who may read this blog but does not know Jesus as their personal savior. I was taught about Jesus and taken to church some of my childhood. But when I became a teenager I was invited to church by a girl that smiled all the time. I could tell their was something different about her. So when I was 16 years old I went to that youth meeting. After the preacher preached I went down to the altar to pray and I asked Jesus to come into my heart on Nov. 16, 1996. That was the best day of my life!

And I want to tell you about the free gift of salvation.

God sent His son Jesus into this world through a virgin birth and when He became a man God allowed Jesus to be beaten and crucified to take the punishment for all our sins. Jesus took our place and suffered so we don't have to.

Matthew 1:18-21 "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just [man], and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."

Matthew 27:27-37 "Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. And sitting down they watched him there; And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."

On the 3rd day He arose from the grave and went back to heaven to be with God.

Matthew 28:5-6 "And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

If you believe that~ then all you have to do is ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart and save you.

Romans 10:9-13 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

And once you are saved you will always be saved. You cannot lose your salvation. This is not a liscense to sin but rather eternal security. If you truly recieve Jesus as your personal savoir then you will want to change and not live a sinful life. You will feel convicted if you do things that aren't pleasing to Him.

One day Jesus is going to come back and get the saved christians out of this world and take us home to be with Him. He promises us all a mansion in Heaven. There are no tears, no more sadness, no hunger and no goodbyes. If you die before Jesus comes back to get us then you get to go to Heaven then. The Bible says "Absent from the body, present with the Lord." There is no such thing as pergatory.

If we reject Jesus and his free gift of salvation the Bible also tells us there is a place called Hell for those who do not believe in Jesus. God will not send you to Hell (lake of fire) but you will send yourself there by rejecting Him. So please trust in Jesus and give your life to Him before it's too late.
