My First Appointment

I went to the doctor for my first pregnancy check up. She gave me a due date of Dec. 8th. I also was able to schedule the ultrasound with the specialists for May 27th. We are going primarily to look for any birth defects but I hope to see the gender of the baby. I will be 12 weeks pregnant and that's kinda early to predict the gender but they guessed it right for Jonah that early so I trust them. It is after midnight and right now my priority is sleep....I'll try to take some pictures of something or someone tomorrow and maybe that post will be more interesting... :-D

Guess WHAT!?!?!

We are having another baby! We were trying and we hope God gives us a baby girl. Of course if it's a boy we'll be happy too. I am about 8 weeks right now. I go for my first doctor visit Thursday. I am pretty sure they will schedule me for an ultrasound near the end of May. We need to check for a cleft lip since Jaron had one. There's only a 5% chance. I really hope we can see the gender of the baby then. I am not having any symptoms really. The boys are very excited!

Jacob had pictures made at school and they are adorable.

And before I forget I have to tell this story. At school Jacob gets rewarded if he goes 20 days straight without getting in trouble. He did it last week he got to pick a prize from the prize box and he came home with a bracelet for me. I cried. I can't believe my little boy picked something for me instead of himself. He is so sweet.

Jaron loves Woody from the Toy Story movie. I went in their room the other day and found him like this. I guess he's in trouble not sure why he did this. But I thought it was funny!

Good night I'm sleepy and now you know why. :-D

Wet weekend....

Well we had a TON of rain Saturday so the park was out of the question. We stayed inside an watched movies. We had a youth service at church Saturday night and then church this morning. Chris was invited to preach under an old fashioned tent so we went to that service tonight. The boys behaved suprisingly well, it could have been the possibility of getting to play on the playground at the church when the service was over. Jonah was quiet which never happens THANK GOD. We had a little bit of a drive home so they all went straight to bed. Jonah is talking more and I am so glad because I was getting worried there for a little while.

Oh I do have something to write about....Jacob got in trouble at school Friday. This was his first time every going to the principles office. He was on the playground playing and some girls asked him to chase them. Then they told another boy to protect them from Jacob. So the boy twisted Jacob's arm an wouldn't let go so Jacob punched him and then got on top of him and kept punching him. I first read the note in his book from the teacher then asked him to tell me his story. He did and I asked him why didnt' he run from the boy and he said "Mommy I couldn't he wouldn't let go of my arm!" Then I asked him did he feel bad about what he did and he started crying and said "yes but he thinks the girls were trying to get him in trouble". He is not a fighter and even begs Jaron to stop wrestling with him. I am shocked at his behavior but also glad he defended himself. Punishment was 2 days to sit out of recess.

I cannot even begin to imagine what kind of trouble Jaron might get into in kindergarten....he LOVES to wrestle and fight and jump and tackle...next year should be very interesting...goodnight...I'm tired.

Skater & Skateboarder

So the boys wanted to playoutside again today and they dug out their skates & skateboards from last summer. Jacob was not in the mood to wear his pads so I just hoped for the best....

WOO HOO~ that was a close on he almost hit the ground!
Jaron LOVES getting all geared up and boy did he need it!
He fell atleast 10 times in these skates and never cried...he was actually laughing!!!

They had fun out there and I was sorry I couldn't go out I was babysitting and there is no way I could keep an eye on all of them....Jonah always runs to the road!!! Maybe we'll go to the park saturday...

Dinner Time!!!

Can you guess what we had for dinner? Jonah loved it!!!

Weight & Worries

Well I am worried about Jaron's weight because he does NOT like to eat. So I weigh him every day at bedtime. (I know another obsessive compulsive thing that I do) But he has always been between 32-35 lbs. depending on if he's sick or whatever. But the last few days he's been 36 LBS!!! I am so happy my baby is finally gaining weight. He'll be 5 in June and he's so tiny but he does seem to be getting taller. His feet aren't growing that fast though either. I am thankful my children are not obese but I just want him to be normal size. Jonah just turned 2 and he's 31 lbs!!! Won't be long and they'll weigh the same. I am praying for something to change for Jaron. I've talk to so many doctors and therapists and dentists about his eating habits. No one seems to really be able to help me. I am hoping our trip to Boston in June and meeting with the specialists up there might uncover some new information. He's starting kindergarten in August and I am worried he will lose weight because he won't eat as much. It takes him twice as long to eat the same thing as Jacob. Will the battle of the cleft ever end?

Daddy's Boys

Well we got the boys all dressed for church and I HAD to get a picture of my 4 handsome men. Jacob of course was miserable because I made him wear a tie. I took two pictures and he didn't smile for either one. He's not choking I always make sure I can fit 2 fingers in the top of his shirt. To tell you the truth I think he is embarrassed by all the attention he gets with it on. So many people at church comment on how handsome they look when we dress them up. Jaron loves it and so does Jonah. Jacob is just getting more aware of his appearance lately. He tells me how to cut his hair and he must pick out his school clothes. I can't imagine if I had a 3 girls how getting ready for church might be. :-D

And I got this other picture of Jaron and Chris...he said "same white shirt daddy" He loves dressing up like daddy...

Playing at the Park

We decided this morning that we needed to get out of the house so we took the kids the local park. And to our suprise the YMCA was setting up a full day of fun with bouncy houses and face painting and snow cones and popcorn!!! We couldn't have picked a better day and it was all free!!! But, of course, I forgot my camera and only got a couple of pictures with my cell phone.
Jonah going down the slide...
Jacob & Jaron jumping in the bouncy house...
Then we got silly with the camera...
GROUP HUG!!!
Jacob eating some oreos

Jaron cracking up laughing...

Jonah being silly with the hat...he put that on and took it off about 20 times...

We had a fun day....I had to make a quick trip to the store and before I say this....I want to be sure you know that I realize I am not a perfect mother by any means....I just don't think I am this bad. I saw a lady coming out of the store with two teenage boys one pushing the buggy and he said "LOOK!" and she yelled "I can't look~I'm TYPING!" so of course I looked at her and noticed she was wearing her blue tooth and texting on her phone....OH MY GOSH!!! Seriously did she just say that out loud....I can't look I'm typing!?!?!? WOW she must have been typing something very important....

Hats & Homework

Well I didn't get to go to church tonight because I was babysitting but Jacob went with Daddy and he looked so handsome I just had to get a picture.

UPDATE: I emailed his teacher about the 3 chapters she wants him to read each night....she said he is very smart (he is always above grade level in reading on his report cards) and she thought he could do it faster than 45 minutes. She said it was okay to only do 2 chapters if we wanted. But I tried going in the bedroom with him last night and we laid on my bed in the quiet away from his brothers and he read 3 chapters again without stopping and it took him 45 minutes again. So tonight we only made him do 2 chapters. He loses interests and fidgets a lot. Before this week his homework was to read 10 minutes per night. Not sure why she increased it so much? Atleast she was nice about it...

Jonah got Daddy's hat this morning and it was so cute watching him with it on....he knew he looked cool...he just looked at us and smiled....oh and he loves those tiny boxes of raisins too!

Imaginations...

Well we got a new camera and I haven't taken time to read the book yet so not sure what the clicking noise is during the videos I take....try to ignore it :-D

Jonah has been trying to use the potty some today but not 100% in underwear all day...we've got a long way to go. He asked to sit on the potty this morning so I let him while I was drying my hair and Jaron came in and gave him a book to read...He looked at me and said "Bible"....HOW DID HE KNOW? That only one book of the bible but he was right!!!

Later this evening Chris got out the vacuum to do their room because apprently someone got a little carried away smashing crackers into the carpet...but he was distracted by a phone call so he left the vacuum cleaner and walked off....the boys are facinated with it....so Jaron walks over and says "Hey Jonah you want to change the oil in it?"

Peeing for gum

Well I woke up this morning thinking I need to start potty training Jonah. So he did his usual morning poop and then I put him on some big boy underwear. I told him "no pee pee in the underwear, tell mommy when you have to pee and we'll RUN to the potty" So I took him in there in a few minutes and told him I'd give him gum if he went. He never gets gum so he was VERY excited....oh and I put some cheerios in the toilet to make it fun. He peed in the toilet!!! I could NOT believe it. So of course I gave him some gum and a little later he told me "potty mommy" so we went back and he peed some more so I gave him a little more gum. The a little later he stood right in front of me and peed all OVER himself. I said "OH no Jonah! WHY? you were doing so good!" So it was naptime and I put a diaper on him. We tried underwear again later but he never peed anymore he said "it's stuck". He couldn't get any out so he didn't get any gum....HE WAS NOT HAPPY!!! He pitched many screaming fits and we went back and forth to the bathroom without any success. So we'll try again tomorrow and see what happens. I think I'll get some M&M's they might be safer to swallow.

just a little side note: Jacob came home today with a chapter book and his new homework was to read THREE CHAPTERS EVERY DAY...he's only in first grade...it took him 45 min and he was in tears at the end. I will have to email the teacher about this!

Handsome Boys

The other day when they were playing outside the boys wanted to catch a butterfly and I said to them "if you put that butterfly in a jar it will cry because he wants to fly around outside". Jacob said "no mommy, butterflies don't cry because it's not a person"

We had a little photo shoot before walking out the door for church this morning....It's not easy to get them to all stand still and look at me and smile....but they are so handsome!

There was one more thing I wanted to put on here that Jacob said but I can't remember it right now...I'm sleepy....goodnight.

Fun Outside!!!

We took the boys to the mall today to play at the inside play area....

Then we rode the carousel...

Then we ate lunch and came home. We don't ever shop at the mall we just went for some indoor fun. We love the nice temperatures outside but pollen is NOT our friend. So Jonah napped when we got home then the boys decided they wanted to play outside a little so the got their masks on...

They wanted them and I think they are helping. Jonah wouldn't wear one and he's the only one coughing...

Yes he's wearing PJ's....they all are...that's all we wear at home...

just before the fall.... :-D

goodnight....
